On Friday the 30 at JPC I came 3rd for the 200 meters and we did long jump and I came 2nd. Long jump      

was my favourite and my mum watched and she was proud of me.   She said I did good and I was proud of myself.

shark attack

Once there was a man named Jeff. Jeff was with his family in Las Vegas, America. He went to Australia  to become a shark trainer. He trained his sharks to become wild and fast. He wanted to find a hammerhead. But he did not find a hammerhead. He dived deep in the sea, in a four seater boat with 3 lifeguards on board. He took a massive net out with him.

So he trained sharks to be fast and furious and he went back to las vegas and he told his family all about it they like what he said and his family had nightmares and the next morning the children had  a bad sleep and he was on the news the next day.

This week is Maori language week, we went on Ngai Tahu's interactive story wiring site. We learnt some new Maori words, practised pronunciation and used screencastify to record our stories for our blog. Ka pai.

Matariki soup

Today to celebrate Matariki, Maori New Year, we made soup. We made it from vegetables grown in Mother Earth. We spent the day doing Matariki activities, learning, reading, maths, religious education and art. It was a great day learning.

Mothers Day Canva

For the last week the students have been learning to use a new programme called Canva.
It is a  Graphic Design programme that the students have used to create wee presents for Mother's Day.
 We worked together with our friends across the Middle Team to take photos of each other on the Ipads. We then learnt how to use Canva. Students uploaded their photos and then chose other elements they would like on their Collage.
Some of the students added text, others added hearts and other things.

We went to Disneyland and I went on a roller coaster. I also went to SeaWorld, there was a super fast roller coaster. It had a short video at the start. I went to Adventureland. It was like Disneyland. We went to Universal Studios, it wasn’t as big as I thought it would be. I went to Las Vegas, it had lots of bright lights and big buildings. It was flash. America was a big country , and I saw a lot of it.
